2020 NRA America’s Rifle Challenge

The NRA is coming to Peacemaker National Training Center in 2020 to conduct the NRA America’s Rifle Challenge (ARC) events! ARC is a great program run by the NRA’s Competitive Shooting Division.  ARC is AR Match is designed for safe shooters of all skill levels.

2020 NRA ARC Regional Championship (Mid Atlantic)
6 Stages – Shoot the regional on Fri, Sat or Sun or shoot it each day. Only your first score will count.

There are two levels of ARC competition: 

ARC Level 1: These stages are standardized skill tests of shooter accuracy, speed and mechanics. Stages are conducted from 100 yards and inward with a balance of both time and accuracy being measured in every event. Some aspects value speed or accuracy over the other. There are five total stages of fire. Both experienced and new shooters alike will enjoy this match! Scoring is conducted via Practiscore and is based on time/plus and total hits.

Match Starts – 8:00 AM 
Match Concludes – 12:30 PM
Cost for this match is $40.00 for PNTC Members and $45.00 for Non-PNTC Members. Non-PNTC Members will pay the additional $5.00 at check-in. General match, with the following divisions:
 STOCK, LIMITED, OPEN

ARC Level 2 PM: These stages are dynamic events covering all directions of moving while shooting, multi-target engagement techniques, external ballistics knowledge, and stage planning. L2 will be shot in shooting bays, natural terrain and long distance rifle ranges with a maximum distance of 400 yards and 99% of targets within 350 yards. There are five stages of fire in this match. Scoring is conducted via Practiscore and is based on time/plus and total hits.

Match Starts – 1:00 PM
Match Concludes – 6:00 PM, depart
Cost for this match is $40.00 for PNTC Members and $45.00 for Non-PNTC Members. Non-PNTC Members will pay the additional $5.00 at check-in.
General match, with the following divisions:
 STOCK, LIMITED, OPEN

Additional Match Information ARC Level 1 Match Requirements:

Shooters will (at minimum) need the following to attend and compete in this ARC event:
• A safe and serviceable semi-automatic, detachable magazine rifle, with a minimum 10 round magazine capacity. It is highly advised to have at least a 50 yard zero (preferably a 100 yard zero) on your rifle prior to attending.
• No Cartridges over .308
• Eye and ear protection. Electronic hearing protection is preferred.
• Chamber flag. If you do not have a chamber flag, PNTC has them for a small fee.
• At least three (suggested five) magazines and minimum 150 rounds of ammunition. It is advisable to bring 250 rounds
• At least one serviceable Kydex or nylon magazine pouch worn on the body to conduct reloads
• A one to two-point convertible or pure two point sling, attached to the rifle
• Appropriate footwear and clothing for all-season outdoor use. No Sandals
• It is highly advised to bring support items such as weapon lubricant, water, etc.
• PUNCTUALITY IS IMPORTANT!
• For the Level 1 match check in opens at 7:00 AM at the PNTC Office. The match briefing is Mandatory and will occur at 7:30 AM Sharp. The Level 1 Match will start promptly at 8AM
• Once checked in, please stay at the PNTC Headquarters Building as the Mandatory safety brief will be held in the front lawn of the PNTC HQ Building. KEEP YOUR FIREARM CASED UNTIL INSTRUCTED TO RETRIEVE IT.

ARC Level 2 Match Requirements:

Shooters will, at minimum, need the following to attend and compete in this ARC event:

Additional Safety Rules for ARC Level 1 & Level 2 Matches: 
• Always keep the gun pointed in a safe direction
• Always keep your finger off the trigger until ready to shoot
• Always keep the gun unloaded until ready to use (for this match, you will be given instructions on when to load)

In addition to the above NRA safety rules, PNTC requires that all competitors: 

- Attend the NRA Safety Brief conducted prior to the start of the match.
- Properly check in at PNTC HQ and receive wristband and scoresheet.
- Upon arrival, keep rifles cased! Ensure actions are open and chamber flags are inserted prior to arrival. If you do not have a chamber flag, PNTC has these for a small fee. Ensure this chamber flag is inserted into the rifle's chamber prior to arriving at the range area.
- DO NOT uncase firearms and or handle firearms at your vehicle or off the firing line. A PNTC Range Officer will give you the command to bring your firearm to a "Safe Area" for un-bagging and proper clearing and safety inspection.
- Children under 10 years of age and under are not permitted to attend this event.
- No alcohol, drugs, intoxicated people, felons or any person who is not permitted by law to use or operate firearms may attend this, or other events at PNTC.
- No steel core, tracer or armor piercing ammunition may be used. If a magnet sticks to your bullet it may NOT be used in this competition.
- PNTC and/or NRA reserve the right to remove any person for unsafe and or inappropriate behavior at any time.
