PNTC now offers a super fun Rimfire Long Range Challenge Match. This match will be just like our Centerfire LRC matches but will be limited to the .22 LR cartridge. Just This match format is simple, will have 5 stages with 5 targets with up to 3 attempts at each target. All shooting will be prone (or from a bench I f you cannot go prone!) and shot on special, very small targets from 50 - 300+ yards. Distances to all targets will be given and targets will be identified. Shooters are asked to help spot and keep score. We will have as many as 5 shooters on the line at each stage at a time and take turns engaging targets in order. PNTC will have Zeiss Spotting scopes in the match but PLEASE bring your spotting scopes and/or binoculars if you have them.
Target sizes will vary from 1 MOA to 5MOA or more at extreme ranges. NOTE: This match is for 22LR ONLY Rifle systems and/or optic! You can shoot the match with a competition rifle or a hunting rifle with no problem at all. Semi or bolt is also acceptable. You may bring rear bags, front and a bipod.
The match fee for member is $35, Non members is $45. Non members will be required to pay the additional $10 at registration. Members required to show current badge at registration.

Check in is open from 8:00-8:45AM the morning of the match at the PNTC headquarters building. The mandatory safety & match briefing will begin promptly at 9:00 AM on the patriot/starlight Pavilion. Match will begin immediately following the briefing. The match is generally finished by 4 PM.

Shooters will act as score keepers and spotters to track hits and misses for each of the 5 stages. Shooters have 3 attempts to hit each target; all attempts are noted on the sheet. At the end of the match, shooters will receive a bonus hit for every 10 first-round hits they accumulate. Final score will be ranked in order of hits, first-round hits and misses. A perfect score would be 27, 25, 0.
Keep your firearm(s) unloaded and cased and with a chamber flag in upon arrival to our ranges and do not handle them at your vehicle. Once you reach a designated safe area, firearms can be uncased. If you are in need of a chamber flag, they are available at PNTC HQ. This is an all rifle match. Keep all handguns in your vehicle. Safe areas are to be kept free of ammunition at all times. Firearms are not to be loaded until the shooter is on the firing line or under the direction of a PNTC Range Officer.
DO NOT handle firearms at your vehicle. Use the “Safe Areas” to case, uncase and/or repair firearms. No bi-metal, armor piercing, incendiary or tracer rounds allowed. If a magnet sticks to a projectile, it cannot be used. Failure to abide by these rules will result in a match disqualification.
Please no children under 10 years of age permitted as spectators or shooters! We will have special event days where children under 10 will be permitted. Please do not bring a minor by yourself and shoot in the match. Minors must be under DIRECT SUPERVISON of a parent or legal guardian at ALL TIMES at PNTC. No Junior Shooters under age 10. All Junior Shooters must remain with a parent and must show that they are able to be safe and have good conduct.
