Welcome to the evolution of the defensive handgun match. American Defender takes the defensive elements of IDPA and injects them with the high-octane speed and target density of USPSA. This isn’t just about standing behind a barricade – it’s about explosive movement, aggressive target transitions, and maintaining critical accuracy under the stress. Utilizing a wide array of steel, paper, and moving targets, this match offers something to challenge every level of shooter.

Featuring 5 stages of continuous action in a target rich environment here’s what to expect:

• Dynamic Scenarios: Move through diverse stages featuring cover, and multiple target arrays.
• Stages are timed and scored using a simple Time-plus format.
• “Shoot/no-shoot” decisions, shooting from cover and shoot on the move style engagements.
• Shoot what you carry without concealment restrictions. Use of an open-carry or out-of-waistband is required.
• No power factor, or concealment garments required.

The simplified rules and straight-forward divisions make this a good match for those new to competition or those who simply want to add a new level to their training.
