Peacemaker National Training Center provides comprehensive firearms training solutions for law enforcement, the Department of Defense, and private security clients. Our highly experienced and credentialed instructors offer various services, including basic and advanced firearms instruction, gun safety, active shooter response training, first aid, defensive tactics, and facilitating, designing, and controlling small group and unit tactical exercises on-site at PNTC.

Peacemaker is proud to host a variety of basic, intermediate, and advanced training courses in small, specialized classes or schedule 1-on-1 training on request. Our Program is designed to provide an exceptional training experience to all students regardless of skillset, background, or experience.


Basic Handgun Safety and Marksmanship
Are you an individual who would like to learn more about your new pistol or an experienced shooter looking to refine your shooting fundamentals? This class can accommodate your needs wherever you land between the two.
Accuracy and proficiency handling a semi-automatic pistol or revolver will be thoroughly demonstrated and explored during this course. Students will acquire the ability to safely and confidently use a handgun at a level that also prepares them for more advanced training.
Pre-requisites: None
Required equipment: Pistol, 3 magazines / revolver speed loader, 150 Rounds of Ammunition, Appropriate Range Attire, and Personal Protective Equipment: Eye protection, Ear Protection, and Brimmed Hat.
Course Dates
Defensive Pistol Level 1
This course is for those who have basic pistol skills but are interested in more personal defensive techniques inside and outside of the home.
Students will learn to safely and efficiently draw from holster, understand cover and concealment, how to de-select yourself as a victim, positive identification relating to shoot and no shoot situations, speed vs. accuracy: why the balance matters, as well as insight to what one can expect in a self-defense situation before, during, and after an altercation.
This course will meet the requirements for West Virginia and Virginia Concealed Carry Licensing.
Pre-requisites: Basic Handgun Course.
Required equipment: Pistol, 3-5 Magazines, 1-2 Magazine Pouches, 250 rounds of Ammunition, Kydex holster, Appropriate Range Attire, and Personal Protective Equipment: Eye protection, Ear Protection, and Brimmed Hat. Cloth holsters are prohibited.
Course Dates
Defensive Pistol Level 2
This course takes it up a notch from Defensive Pistol 1 with higher level accuracy and timed drills, holster draw techniques, and why it is important to “Get off the X”. We are building upon skills acquired from level one to train your defensive skills and mindset to de-select yourself as a victim.
Pre-requisite: Students must have completed Defensive Pistol level 1 or have equivalent training and/or experience.
Required Equipment: Gun belt (sturdy/ firm belt), inside the waistband holster, pistol, pistol case, 200 rounds of ammunition, and hearing and eye protection.

Carbine Rifle Safety and Marksmanship
A carbine rifle system can be daunting and complicated for new users to understand and manipulate. This course is designed to provide a simplistic approach to give Carbine rifle owners a solid foundation in becoming comfortable with this platform.
Students will learn safe handling, basic cleaning, mechanical function, and breakdown of a carbine rifle. Additionally, students will establish zero with their firearm, learn marksmanship from multiple shooting positions and become proficient at reloading techniques.
Pre-Requisites: None
Required equipment: Carbine, 250 Rounds of Ammunition, 3-5 Magazines, 1-2 Magazine Pouches, Appropriate Range Attire, and Personal Protective Equipment: Eye protection, Ear Protection, and Brimmed Hat.

Intermediate Carbine
Ready to take your carbine skills to the next level? In this course you will be exposed to more advanced concepts for acquiring fast sight picture from different positions, reloading in stressful scenarios, long range target engagement, and higher standard time and accuracy drills.
Pre-requisite: Students must have completed a Basic carbine course or have equivalent training and/or experience.
Required Equipment: AR-15 with a 20 inch barrel max, rifle case, optics: open sights, LPVO, ACOG, or Red Dot, 25yd or 50yd Zero, 200 rounds of ammunition, 5 magazines, 2 mag pouches on a gun belt, 2- point sling, Med bag w/ tourniquet on belt, notebook, hearing and eye protection, and optional: range finder, front and rear bags, gloves.

Advanced Carbine
During this course we will take a deep dive into higher level skills and application of your carbine rifle system. Each aspect of the fundamentals will be critically assessed to drive a high standard of performance. Advanced positional shooting and sling deployment, timed target engagement while moving safely, long range target engagement, and wind compensation. This course is sure to test you and your carbine to the limit.
Pre-requisite: Must have completed Intermediate Carbine or have equivalent experience or training
Required Equipment: AR-15, 20 inch barrel max., rifle case, Optic: LPVO or ACOG, 25yd or 50yd Zero, 250 rounds of ammunition, 2 mag pouches attached to gun belt, Sling, med bag w/ tourniquet attached to belt, Bi-pod or front shooting bag, rear bag, hearing and eye protection, and optional: range finder, spotting scope, additional support bags, gloves.

Precision Rifle Level 1
Is long range shooting truly as difficult to learn as you have heard? Not when you are training with the best!
During this course individuals will receive knowledge and trainineg for the specialized requirements involved with long range shooting.
Peacemaker National Training Center offers an edge to the student interested in long range competition shooting, recreational shooting, or open country shooting. This course will cover rifles, ammo, optics, accessories, shooting techniques, ballistics, and shooting systems including MOA, Milrad, and yardage-based systems. Students will take away from this course a wide based understanding of various precision rifle systems and how to use them efficiently while training on our nationally recognized one-thousand-yard range perched at high altitude in the Appalachian Mountains.
Pre-Requisites: Basic Rifle Marksmanship
Required equipment: Rifle with at least an 18 Inch Barrel, 40 Rounds of Ammunition, Optic with exposed target type turrets, Appropriate Range Attire, and Personal Protective Equipment: Eye protection, Ear Protection, and Brimmed Hat.
Course Dates
Precision Rifle Level 2
This course will expound on information covered in Level 1, including ammo, optics, rifles, MILs, MOA, and yardage-based systems. Additionally, this course will begin to cover in depth wind reading techniques, shooting from field positions, and trueing the shooters data at long range. Students will receive the knowledge they need to begin making first round hits on small targets at ranges out to 1,000 yards.
Pre-requisite: Precision Rifle Level 1 or equivalent experience and/or training.
Required Equipment: Rifle, rifle case, 50, 100, or 200 yd Zero, Scope with exposed turrets for dialing, 50 rounds of the same ammunition the rifle was zeroed with, Bi-Pod or front shooting bag, rear shooting bag, hearing and eye protection, ballistic calculator app, and optional: range finder, spotting scope, Kestrel, chronograph, shooting mat.
Course Dates
Precision Rifle Level 3
This advanced course will continue to build on the skills and techniques learned in level 1 and 2. Including advanced wind reading techniques, trueing of data at distances beyond 1,000 yards, Coriolis effect, and extreme angle shooting. This class will also delve into terminal performance of different cartridges and types of bullets used for long range hunting.
Pre-requisite: Precision Level 2 or equivalent experience and/or training.
Required Equipment: Rifle, rifle case, 50, 100, or 200 yd Zero, scope with exposed turrets for dialing, 50 rounds of ammunition (same that was used to zero), Bi-pod or front shooting bag, rear shooting bag, hearing and eye protection, ballistic calculator app, and option but handy: range finder, spotting scope, Kestrel, chronograph, shooting mat.
Course Dates
Kestral Class
In this course we will cover the basic functions and navigation of the Kestrel 5700 Elite and 5700x. How to aquire(capture) target direction, wind speed and direction, and shooting solution. Compass calibration. How to build a gun profile in the Kestrel Elite. Muzzle Velocity Calibration (MV Cal). Advanced features. Ballistic terms and concepts and how they relate to kestrel.
Pre-Requisite: Basic Rifle Safety and Marksmanship
Requirements and gear: Students must have rifle zeroes, rear bag, and bi-pod. Kestrel 5700 or 5700x with latest firmware installed.(Students may call shop for help to install).
Course Dates
NVG Level 1
This course will provide a solid foundation to operating under night vision, equipment setup and adjustment, covering movement and shooting.
Pre-Requisite: Solid understanding of AR and AK platforms.
Required Equipment: Helmet with mount, NVG (NOD)- Mono or Bino (image intensifier based- no digital), rifle (Zeroed) with sling, rifle rase, infrared laser mounted on rifle, range belt with at least 1 mag pouch, 200 rounds of ammunition (no steel core), proper range attire, hearing and eye protection, strobe/IFF (chem lights included in course), and suppressor – optional but encouraged.
RENTALS AVAILABLE UPON REQUEST – MUST BE REQUESTED A MINIMUM OF 30 DAYS BEFORE THE CLASS.
Basic Shotgun Safety and Marksmanship
This course will cover basic shotgun safety and handling, action types, various gauges, chokes, ammunition load types, as well as different aiming systems. The information from this course can be used for further training in defensive shotgun, hunting, or clay sports.
Required Equipment: Shot gun, shotgun case, 1 box of 7 ½ shot, 5 pack buck shot, 5 pack slug shot, and eye and hearing protection.
Course Dates
Defensive Shotgun
This class will give the student a good basic understanding of defensive shotgun skills. Topics covered will include action types, gauges, chokes, ammunition, sighting systems, and defensive shooting techniques. The student will also learn the effective range and accuracy level of various types of ammunition from their own shotgun.
Pre-requisite: Students must have completed a Basic Shotgun course or have equivalent training and/or experience.
Required Equipment: Shotgun, shotgun case, box of 7 ½ shot, 5 pack of buck shot, 5 pack slugs, hearing and eye protection.
Course Dates
Clay Sports Class
This course is an introduction to Trap, Skeet, and 5 Stand shotgun game sports. You will understand safety, shotgun fitting, mounting, leads, and when to break.
Pre-requisite: Basic Shotgun class
Requirements: Shotgun, 3 boxes (or 75 rounds) of 7 ½ or 8 shot shells, skeet choke or improved cylinder AND a modified choke or full choke, bag attached to body for hulls, and a box or vest for shells.

Introduction to Reloading for Precision Rifle
In this class students will learn the fundamentals needed to successfully handload quality centerfire rifle ammo.
Students will learn how to choose the correct cartridge components for their rifle and intended purpose. Instructors will demonstrate processing new and fired cartridge casings for loading, as well as various techniques to prime, charge, and seat projectiles. This class will also include a live fire test of ammunition created in the classroom.
Students will not need firearms, equipment, or components for this class. Students will need eye and ear protection.
